  • An Atypical Mother’s Day

    An Atypical Mother’s Day

Happy (belated) Mother’s Day, everyone. This Mother’s Day was destined to be an interesting one. I was invited to speak at my church with a panel of women, answering questions about motherhood and faith. I said yes, which was a really big deal for me. I have always kept my faith very private — I…

When Is It Time to Say Goodbye?

My dog, Bella, is around 16 years old and it’s safe to say her age is showing. She has been deaf for a few years now. She has cataracts that make her vision hazy. She has arthritis in her spine and front paws, with a lot of muscle atrophy in her back hips. She is…

To Tri or not To Tri

I’m going to open myself up here more than I typically would, so here it goes. Please be patient with me while I learn how to organize and upkeep a blog! Lots of construction going on here right now. So keep coming back to check on the changes and updates!

who I am…

I’m a Family Medicine physician with 9 years of clinical experience. I spent 8 years serving as a doctor in the Navy. Once I completed my service to the military, I joined an outpatient clinical practice. But within my first year, I found myself drowning from burnout and decided to step away from the job. Now I am navigating my life as a stay-at-home mom to my two awesome little girls, while figuring out what else I want to do with my life.
